Week 2 Gallery walk in Chelsea------The first gallery we went to was called the Asya Geisberg Gallery. The exhibition was called Centaurs and Satyrs. Ezra Johnson- Love the interesting composition and the mix between the silhouette and scenic background.

Another Ezra Johnson Piece- Interesting painting, I enjoyed it because its not the typical scenic painting!

Next gallery we went to was called the Nicole Klagsbrun Gallery. This piece is by Harold Ancart, Love the simplicity.

Cameron-Interesting Perspective. A unique and interesting portrait, I believe it is done in ink.

I believe this is done by Jimmie Durham but i could be wrong. I thought this was a very interesting piece and the mix of sculpture and words.

This was my favorite piece from the whole day. ITs done by Natalie Frank. I love how expressive this piece is. I love how there is a lot of movement but some detail, especially in the faces.

Patrick Lundeen--Was inspired by his childhood tv shows. A very exciting and colorful exhibition. Mark Weiss Gallery. Also we talked to the director of the art gallery (Anna) she gave us some advice but the one thing she said that I thought was very important was that, "Your personality is just as important as your art work."

The last gallery we visited was at BravinLee Programs. And it was a teen art gallery (TAG) I absolutely love this self portrait done by Caitlyn Woodhead. I love how she chose an interesting perspective for her portrait, the value of her oil paints. In addition I love how she communicated her mood by using different brushstrokes.

I believe this is by Sonja Tyspin. But I can't believe this is done by a high schooler!!!! I love the composition, the contrast of the vertical and horizontal. ANd just the content of the painting itself. SHe is a very talented artist.

Video Performance done by Emma Depold. A very interactive piece of art. It was about barriers in israel I believe. I though it was a very interesting piece of work that had meaning.
